Please don't tease the baby!

Sorry it has been so long since we posted, but being 30 weeks pregnant and trying to move into a new house is not nearly as easy as I had hoped it would be. Even after hiring out the move, the painting of the entire interior of the new house, and the installation of a brand new furnace - I still managed to create a lot of work us and after two weeks of living in the new house we still haven't unpacked even half of our stuff yet!

I do, however, have a little pre-move story to tell..........

One night after we had been packing boxes all day at the old house, Chris and I had a chance to sit and relax a bit before bed. Now, Chris has gotten pretty fond of feeling Emmi kick, and watching the tummy wriggle and bulge at this point, and on this particular night, Emmi was slightly excessive in her play fullness.

Well, Chris decided to start a little game with our baby girl and proceeded to poke his finger deep into my middle until he connected with whatever part of the baby happened to be there. At first it was kind of cute watching (and feeling) Daddy poke the baby, and the baby kick and punch and wriggle back at her Daddy through my stomach. Eventually, however, it seems that our little bundle of joy lost interest in the game, and actually became quite annoyed with her Daddy's jabby fingers invading her space.

Having no real recourse against her father, its seems she decided to retaliate against me - her mother who had done nothing wrong and only nourished and protected and loved her for the previous seven months. The next thing I knew I felt a sharp jab of a foot connect directly with my full bladder- apparently when you are pregnant all of your muscles lose some of their strength, including the holding-in-your-pee muscles- and I peed my pants a little. Now the shock of this made me start to laugh hysterically, and apparently the hold-your-pee-in muscles also don't work when you laugh really hard and are pregnant so- I then proceeded to pee my pants a lot.

The moral of the story...........................
Don't ever tease a person that resides in your interior!
