Baby Registry.......... As Requested By Many!

We have had many requests for a Baby Registry - so I have given in, and tried to make some decisions about what Emmi needs.

Chris and I have already ordered most of the big stuff we wanted from Graco in the Rittenhouse Pattern (which is a black and white damask pattern).............

But if anyone finds the Graco Diaper Bag in the Rittenhouse Pattern, I haven't been able to find it and that would be a perfect gift :)

I know that Nan (my mum, Kristie) is going to be buying Emmi her crib (incl. mattress) so that has also been taken care of.

Emmi's nursery is going to be decorated in shadow beige (a beige colour) and black and white, and probably a black and white damask. Because I can't resist the colour pink to begin with, I am sure the accent colour for my little girls room will be all shades of pink!

Our plan is to breastfeed and to use washable diapers - and before we all have a fit over the amount of time it will take me, the new and improved washable nappies are super simple, almost as easy as disposable, especially since I found out that it is illegal to throw human waste into a garbage dump. This means that all of those dirty diapers in the landfill aren't even allowed to be there. It turns out that all disposable diapers come with instructions on how to properly remove the liner and flush it, along with the solid waste, before disposing of the remaining part of the diaper in the garbage! Who knew you weren't supposed to just wrap them up and chuck them in the out?!?!?!?

That being said, we would like to get 30-50 washable diapers - including all the necesseties like plastic covers, flushable liners, and a couple of diaper pails. We would also like to get all the necessities for breastfeeding and for bottle feeding (so Chris can get in on some of the action, and I can try and get some sleep :))

We have registered at Sears and Babies R Us. We have tried to make sure we haven't duplicated anything on the lists and we are hoping that these lists will be an indication of the sorts of styles and colours we want to try to keep in the nursery, However..................

When it comes to the baby, my design sensibilities DO NOT have to be maintained, anything is fair game, so if you want to get her a gift - Please get her whatever you want!

Love Erin and Chris
